We Won't Wait: Day of Mourning

Rev. Gregory Holston of POWER at the Walk for Green Jobs and Justice
During the Christian Holy Week, and just days before Passover, we will be at the door of PECO Headquarters, telling the corporation that We Won't Wait for action, We Won't Wait for green jobs, We Won't Wait for locally-produced solar energy.
There will be two large public actions:
Day of Mourning
Tuesday, March 27
Please note: We will meet at First Unitarian, 2125 Chestnut Street at 2pm. We will make sure everyone is oriented and understands the action plan, and then walk over to PECO!
Communities of color are bearing the brunt of climate disaster and a lack of investment. This is an action for lives lost to pollution and global warming brought on by the fossil fuel industry, and for mourning the economic injustices in our neighborhoods, brought on by lack of good jobs.
Some folks will be engaging in civil disobedience at this action. If you are considering this, please plan to come the action training on Sunday, March 25, 2:30-6pm at Friends Center.
Most participants will not be at risk of arrest.
