PECO's Choice Teach-in
Join us Wednesday March 23rd as we continue to put pressure on PECO and hold a public teach-in at the company's headquarters. Our teach-in will examine what PECO’s choice is- will it choose solar energy and local green jobs for North Philly, or will we find out on May 2 that the company has chosen not to invest in our city?
We will hear from John Bowie, a Lehigh Avenue neighborhood leader, and Rev. Gregory Holston of POWER, who will explore the context and questions around PECO’s choice. What does PECO’s choice mean to Philadelphia? What does PECO’s choice mean for green jobs in North Philly? What does PECO’s choice mean for climate change?
To delve into these questions and to get grounded in the moral urgency of PECO’s choice we will be gathering at the UU church at 10 a.m. then heading over to PECO’s lobby for a public lesson. Following the teach-in there will be time for questions and further discussion at the church until noon.
