To give someone the runaround – (v) To delay, dodge, or frustrate someone, especially by providing useless information or directions.
On October 1, hundreds of Philadelphians will join in the first ever PECO Runaround and Walkathon!
Philadelphia is ready to go solar. We are ready for good jobs from clean, renewable solar power.
But PECO has delayed and minimized this vital industry at every turn. Philadelphia is not going to just wait for PECO, we know when we’re being given the runaround. That’s why we’re holding our own runaround – a run, walk, wheel, and stroll that circles the PECO building and shows the utility how far we'll go to Power Local Green Jobs.
PECO has only a few short years to stop derailing our climate and communities, which is why we've demanded at least 20% power from local solar by 2025. We need your help to get there.
Bring your friends, neighbors, kids, parents, faith community or running team! All proceeds will support the Power Local Green Jobs campaign in our ambitious goal to bring 10,000 new, green jobs to the Philadelphia area.
Sign up to run, walk, or locomote and commit to raising funds for Power Local Green Jobs! By raising just $65, $200, or a personal goal in pledges for the run, you will be playing a huge part in bringing solar jobs to our city and region.
