Investigate PECO
Our energy company PECO sends more than $1 million a day to its parent company in Chicago. But PECO has made little investment to spur green jobs and renewable energy in its service area. Meanwhile, Philadelphia - the poorest big city in the U.S. - continues to suffer from pollution and economic injustice. Communities of color and poor neighborhoods face the worst consequences of poor air quality and lack of jobs. Committing to just 20% solar by 2025 would be a huge step in the right direction. But instead, PECO continues to reinvest in dirty energy - with devastating consequences.
Why is our utility serving shareholders and corporate executives, but not making the world safer for its customers? This demands investigation.
Join EQAT, POWER, and your fellow ratepayers for a powerful action to Investigate PECO and its motives on November 14th.
