Individual actions to slow climate change are important, but they can leave people feeling powerless. And we know that, to contribute to the scale of change that’s needed, we need to act with others to challenge business as usual.

Vanguard manages over $8.5 trillion of its customers' money, and it invests that money in the companies driving the climate crisis through deforestation, fossil fuel extraction and expansion, and projects that undermine Indigenous and human rights and disproportionately harm Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color.

But here’s the good news! The Vanguard S.O.S. campaign is an opportunity for all of us to act collectively and influence Vanguard to deal with its climate problem. And Vanguard customers in particular have a special role to pressure the firm to do better.
