Equatic River Action for PECO Bill Forgiveness and Climate Justice
The planet is warming, waters are rising, and PECO is failing us. Join us on the shore at Schuylkill River Banks at PECO's headquarters as we call on PECO to forgive the utility bills of our most vulnerable neighbors while continuing our five year campaign pressing PECO to take responsibility for its role in climate change by heavily investing in local solar and hiring from high unemployment areas. A flotilla of boats on the river will join us.
Masks must be worn at all times, and we will follow social distancing practices during this outdoor event.
Join us on Wednesday, August 19 at 8:45 am on the Schuylkill Banks River Trail between JFK Blvd and Market St. (map) (Enter from steps on JFK Blvd or ramp on Market St.)
Can't join in person? Find our livestream on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/EarthQuakerActionTeam.
Any updates due to weather will be announced on this page.
