Multiple issue campaigns in southeastern Pennsylvania are reaching critical escalation points, and we want to prepare together to take bold action. Whether we are fighting to protect the land we live on or the green space that sustains our community, whether we’re fighting for affordable housing or a livable climate, we know that politely asking for what we want is not enough, especially when we’re up against big money. We need to take strategic, collective action, sometimes including civil disobedience. This training will help prepare those who are considering risking arrest themselves, as well as those who want to serve as legal observers. This will be a chance to learn more and practice some new roles, so come join even if you’re not feeling ready for this type of action yourself.
