Beyond Marches and Rallies

Practice designing inventive actions, and share ideas for creative, strategic tactics. High-school aged youth are welcome!
We've designed the training to:
- learn from local groups that have used creative actions to win on their issue
- practice generating tactics that frame our story and get the media's attention
- generate positive and powerful support from like-minded folks attending and those passive allies watching from the sidelines
- explore what emotional blocks keep folks from trying tactics outside of their norm
The training team is set - join Matthew Armstead, Ryan Leitner, Max Ray-Riek and Lina Blount. They'll share stories and explore theory about how to create new, innovative actions that get attention and move issues forward!
Younger Youth! Same time, same place: come to a training for youth in nonviolent direct action. Designed for grades 2-8, but please reach out if you have any questions about how you can participate. Contact Ingrid Lakey, [email protected].
This training is open for all who are ready for bold and grounded action for justice. We are hosting a series of trainings in nonviolent direct action with Training for Change and POWER.
Childcare for younger children available: please email Katie at [email protected] if you will need it.
