Alternative Shareholders' Meeting
It is time to follow the money flowing into the coffers of the utility's parent company, Exelon. Join Earth Quaker Action Team and the Power Local Green Jobs campaign for an "alternative shareholder meeting" on Tuesday, May 1, outside the Exelon annual shareholder meeting. At the same time, we'll be out in North Philadelphia gathering answers to the question "what could a million dollars a day do for your community?"
While Exelon executives tout their profits inside, Philadelphia area ratepayers and their allies will be telling the truth about the company's unsustainable business practices. We will offer realistic shareholder resolutions for local solar and green jobs, and end with a raucous "question and answer" period, complete with songs and chants.
Join the us at 8 am at Franklin Square (1332 I St NW, Washington, D.C.) for a short orientation before walking to the Pepco building (701 Ninth Street, NW, Washington, D.C.) for the action.
